Kostas Gakis

He was born in 1977 in Athens. He completed the Dramatic Faculty of National Theatre, the Department of History and Archaeology of University Athens and has a classic guitar diploma.  

In the theatre he has played in the following plays: “Selestina” of Fernando de Rojas (V. Nikolaidi stage), “Only the Truth” of V. Maurogeorgiou,  (Theatre of New World, 2007), “Cockroach” of V. Maurogeorgiou (Experimental Scene of National Theatre, 2004, Theatre of New World, 2004-2007), “Phi” ” of V. Maurogeorgiou and A. Xafi (A. Xafi stage, Theatre Amore, “Trials” 2006), “Do you hear the feast?” of S. Gkaka (played for hospitalised children) ( V. V. Maurogeorgiou stage, Theatre of New World, 2005-2006), “Dream of a summer night” of Shakespeare ( G. Iordanidi  stage, National Theatre, 2004), “Elektra” of Sophocles ( P. Papageorgopoulou stage, Theatre Front, 2003), “Camino Real” of T. Williams ([ A. Tompouli stage, National Theatre. 2001).  

In the cinema he has participated in the following films: “Woman is hard person” of A. Kafetzopoulos (2005), “Submarine love” (2005) and “A person of every time” of G. Soldatou (2004).  

In television he has participated in the TV series “Ioanna of the heart” of M. Papaoikonomou and in the TV show “Theatrical Single Act Plays with” Psychosabbato” of Gr. Xenopoulou, E. Papakonstantinou stage, TV director: G. Gkikapeppas.

He has written music for the plays: “The more beautiful story of the world” (National Theatre, 2007), “Three histories from the Qatar”, “Only the Truth”, (V. Maurogeorgiou stage), “Phi” (A. Xafi stage), “Cockroach”, “Do you hear the feast?” and “The arrow that does not hurt” ( V. Maurogeorgiou stage), “One night of February” ( V. [Maurogeorgiou stage, Theatre “Small Door”, 2005), “Norway Today” (G. Ntaliani stage, Theatre Amore, 2003), “Wanna be purple” (dance show, chorographer. N. Lagoysakou, Theatre of S.N.D.O in Amsterdam, 2001).

He has acted jointly as soloist (classic guitar) with the Symphony Orchestra of ERT in concerts in the Palace of Music in Athens and has collaborated with the Band Orchestra of Heliopolis (clarinet), the Symphony Orchestra of Young People of Athens (classic guitar) and the Orchestra of Night Chords “Attic” (classic guitar, mandolin).
